Asana
Overview
Connect Asana to Chat Aid for both searching your ticketingdata and performing Actions like creating and updating items directly from conversations.
How to Connect
For Data Source (Read-only):
- Navigate to Integrations in your Chat Aid dashboard
- Find Asana in the Ticketing category
- Click Connect
- Authenticate with your Asana credentials
- Select which content to train on
- Click Start Training
For Actions (Read + Write):
- Navigate to Actions in your Chat Aid dashboard
- Find Asana
- Click Connect
- Authenticate and grant permissions
- Use the
[action]filter in conversations to create and update items
Actions
This integration also supports Actions, allowing Chat Aid to perform tasks in Asana directly from conversations - such as creating tickets, updating tasks, or managing items.
What Data is Accessed?
The permissions Chat Aid requests depend on how you connect Asana:
Data Source Connection (Read-only):
- Read-only access to your content for searching and answering questions
- No write or delete permissions
Actions Connection (Read + Write):
- Read access - To view existing items for context
- Write access - To create and update items on your behalf
For Actions, Chat Aid only performs operations you explicitly request. We never share your data with third parties, and your data is never used to train AI models.

- Ticket name
- Assignee name
- Due date
- Ticket description
- Collection
- Ticket type
- Parent ticket
- Ticket attachments
- Ticket tags
- Created at
- Updated at
- Completed at
- Ticket URL
Users
- User name
- User emails
- User roles
- User organizations
- User licenses
- User avatar
- User last login_at
Auto-Retrain
Keep your Asana data up-to-date by configuring automatic retraining schedules (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).
