Overview

Connect Zoho CRM to Chat Aid for both searching your crmdata and performing Actions like creating and updating items directly from conversations.

How to Connect

For Data Source (Read-only):

  1. Navigate to Integrations in your Chat Aid dashboard
  2. Find Zoho CRM in the CRM category
  3. Click Connect
  4. Authenticate with your Zoho CRM credentials
  5. Select which content to train on
  6. Click Start Training

For Actions (Read + Write):

  1. Navigate to Actions in your Chat Aid dashboard
  2. Find Zoho CRM
  3. Click Connect
  4. Authenticate and grant permissions
  5. Use the [action] filter in conversations to create and update items

Actions

This integration also supports Actions, allowing Chat Aid to perform tasks in Zoho CRM directly from conversations - such as creating tickets, updating tasks, or managing items.

What Data is Accessed?

The permissions Chat Aid requests depend on how you connect Zoho CRM:

Data Source Connection (Read-only):

  • Read-only access to your content for searching and answering questions
  • No write or delete permissions

Actions Connection (Read + Write):

  • Read access - To view existing items for context
  • Write access - To create and update items on your behalf

For Actions, Chat Aid only performs operations you explicitly request. We never share your data with third parties, and your data is never used to train AI models.

  • Contact name
  • Contact title
  • Contact account
  • Contact address
  • Contact email address
  • Contact phone numbers
  • Contact tags
  • Last activity at
  • Created at
  • Updated at

Notes

  • Note owner
  • Note content
  • Note contact
  • Note opportunity
  • Created at
  • Updated at

Opportunities

  • Opportunity name
  • Opportunity description
  • Opportunity amount
  • Opportunity owner
  • Opportunity account
  • Opportunity stage
  • Last activity at
  • Close date

Users

  • User name
  • User email
  • Is user active: true/false
